The Hanover Trade Association is the central interest group for the retail trade in the Hanover region. The association is actively committed to the interests of its members and offers a wide range of services. These include comprehensive advice, targeted training and support with legal and economic issues. The aim of the association is to promote the competitiveness and growth of its members and to support them in a constantly changing retail landscape. With its broad expertise and commitment to the needs of the retail trade, the association creates a strong basis for sustainable success.

The challenge

Website relaunch: A modern appearance for the Hanover Trade Association

The previous website of the Hanover Trade Association was based on WordPress and no longer met modern requirements in terms of user-friendliness and design. The goal of the project was a comprehensive relaunch of the website to make it clearer and more structured. The new website had to comply with current web standards and offer an improved member area with restricted access. Particular attention was paid to adhering to the association’s corporate identity in order to ensure recognizability and consistency. In addition, a complete overhaul of the members’ area was required, including an intuitive download area and the integration of downloads directly in the relevant subject areas.

Our solution

Modern design and improved user experience

Our approach for the relaunch of the Hanover Trade Association’s website comprised several key elements. First, we developed a modern and contemporary web design that complies with the association’s corporate identity guidelines. We focused on timeless typography and a restrained visual language that is supported through good color contrast. The design is responsive and accessible to ensure optimal use on all devices and for all user groups. The structure of the website has been fundamentally revised to optimize the user journey and improve the user experience (UX). To this end, content is now clearly organized by topic and contacts can be contacted directly on the relevant pages. The member area has been completely restructured and is now easier to use and more intuitive. The download area has also been redesigned so that downloadable files are available directly in the respective subject areas, which significantly increases user-friendliness.
Thanks to our comprehensive approach, the website of the Hanover Trade Association has not only been modernized visually and functionally, but now also offers a significantly improved user experience for members and visitors.
